2. Schmidolin’s baptism of fire
Schmidolin’s baptism of fire is on the Schmittenhöhe. This is an exciting adventure hiking trail for the whole family with children aged 6 and over. It’s best to take the Areitbahn, then you’ll get to this eventful attraction as quickly as possible. On the adventure hiking trail, your children can master 15 adventure stations with tests of courage. Each of these stations hides a so-called flint. Each flint has an individual color. The Kapruner Ache has truly demonstrated how unstoppable the water flows from the glacier into the valley. The Kapruner Ache has cut its way into the Kaprun Valley over 30 meters deep and 320 meters long. Especially in spring, the water masses are enormous due to the melting snow.
